PSD calls for a united approach from Romania to defend national agriculture in the negotiations on the EU budget 2028-2034. The party opposes the creation of a common fund to finance EU policies, which could seriously affect Romanian agriculture. They stress that funding for agriculture should not be made conditional on meeting milestones in other sectors. PSD proposes discussions between all political forces and calls for a cap on subsidies per beneficiary and an increase in the co-financing percentage, warning that these measures could reduce farmers' access to EU funds.
