Hundreds of teachers and students are gathering on Wednesday at 12:00 PM in front of the Cotroceni Palace to protest against the education crisis. They are demanding meetings with President Nicușor Dan, dissatisfied with the lack of a Minister of Education since December and with the statements of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who claimed that "we are not lacking diplomas".

The leader of the "Spiru Haret" Federation, Marius Nistor, criticized the unfulfilled promises of the president and warned that teachers might go on general strike during the simulations.

Students are also protesting due to increased fees and cuts to scholarships.

Nistor emphasized that the prime minister should have avoided comments about diplomas, considering the issues of plagiarism and lack of transparency in education.

Protests are also spreading to Cluj-Napoca, where a similar action will take place.
