A prosecutor has been indicted on charges of misappropriation of relevant documents in a rape case, intellectual forgery and aiding and abetting a perpetrator.

The prosecutor, who is being held on remand, is accused of stealing key documents from a rape case file, including statements by the suspect and court records, in order to prevent the truth from being uncovered. He subsequently produced false documents to justify the closure of the case. The indictment was sent to the Court of Appeal in Galati for judgment. The action was initiated on June 13, 2025.
