Minister Irineu Darău announced on Tuesday the opening of applications for a program dedicated to Romanian companies that wish to invest in modernizing production, automation, digitalization, and energy efficiency. The program has a budget of over 288 million lei and aims to support companies in maintaining competitiveness amid rising costs.

He emphasized the urgent need for investments in new technologies and efficient processes, according to feedback received from entrepreneurs. Eligible projects include modernizing production lines, purchasing equipment, automating processes, and investing in green solutions.

Funding will be granted on a 'first come, first served' basis, and applications are open until June 24, 2026. The Ministry of Economy has published a manual to assist companies in the application process.
