In an interview, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that Romania is not ready for the introduction of progressive taxation, emphasizing that there have been no recent discussions in the coalition on this subject. He explained that implementing such a measure would require significant changes in the financial system, which would take at least a year.

Additionally, Bolojan reaffirmed Romania's support for the agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, mentioning that this global economic agreement could bring benefits for exports and Romanian companies. However, he acknowledged the risks for the agricultural sector due to competition with Latin American countries. The Prime Minister emphasized that Romania has consistently supported this agreement, considering it strategic for the country's economic development.
