Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the Government's commitment to improve revenue collection and combat tax evasion, requesting the expertise of the World Bank for adjusting tax legislation.

The discussions also focused on reforms of state-owned companies for more efficient governance, as well as mobilizing funding for agriculture, energy, and public-private projects. The Prime Minister highlighted Romania's agricultural potential and requested support for the development of the processing industry and stabilization of the energy system.

The central objective of the reforms is to increase the efficiency of the state and regain the trust of citizens by responsibly using budgetary resources for quality public services. Antonella Bassani confirmed the World Bank's willingness to provide both funding and expertise to harness Romania's potential.
