The Prosecutor's Office next to the High Court of Cassation and Justice announced on Tuesday that a criminal investigation has been initiated against a defendant charged with two offenses of violating the weapons and ammunition regime. The defendant, together with an accomplice, illegally sold two lethal weapons with a long barrel and a silencer in Dâmbovița County in October 2025, for a total sum of 2500 euros, and another similar weapon on November 12, 2025, for 2000 euros. As part of the investigation, prosecutors and police conducted 11 searches on Monday at the homes of some suspects in Dâmbovița, who are suspected of having illegally brought weapons from Turkey, which they later sold in the county.
