Cătălin Predoiu, interim Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, addressed the issue of drug consumption in society, stating that in many institutions there are individuals who consume prohibited substances. The statements were made during the conference 'Addictions in Youth - Medical, Social and Economic Impact', organized by the special parliamentary committee 'Romania without Domestic Violence'. Predoiu emphasized that, although the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not consume drugs at the leadership level, it is important to recognize that adults in various institutions may be involved in drug consumption. He mentioned that statistics regarding drug consumption are often relative and that honesty in addressing this issue is essential. Predoiu stressed that adults must provide a positive example for youth, warning that acknowledging mistakes is an important step in solving the problem of drug consumption.
