A general power outage between Elevation 1000 and Elevation 2000 affected the operation of the cable transport installations in Sinaia, including the Sinaia Gondola, Carp Gondola, and Section 1 Cable Car.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon, around 1:20 PM, when a tree fell on the high voltage cables. Tourists on the route were safely evacuated with the help of backup diesel engines. Approximately 150 people remaining at Elevation 1400 and Elevation 2000 benefited from transport solutions, while the crews
of Electrica intervened to remedy the damage. The electricity supply was restored at Elevation 1400, allowing the Sinaia Gondola and the Cable Car to restart, however, the Carp Gondola remained non-functional due to the supply from the transformer point at Elevation 2000. Representatives of the Sinaia Gondola apologized for the inconvenience caused, emphasizing that the incident was due to an infrastructure problem.
