Victor Ponta has said that Sorin Grindeanu supported candidate George Simion in the second round of the elections, along with Hubert Thuma from the PNL, accusing him of contributing to the collapse of the PSD. Ponta believes that the method of forcing mayors to mobilize voters is outdated and will lead to their rejection. He warns that PSD risks becoming a minority party, similar to those in other countries in the region. Grindeanu, on the other hand, responded that Ponta has a "brand of traitor", making any collaboration between them difficult.
