Police union members, representatives of the Europol Union, have reported an alarming situation in which employees are forced to organize on social networks to change uniform items. They emphasize that the Romanian Police, four years after initiating the uniform change process, has failed to complete the necessary procedures to ensure a normal flow of uniforms. Police officers do not receive enough uniform items, and the existing ones deteriorate quickly.

Additionally, the quality of the uniforms is poor, and the institution refuses to allocate funds for new purchases, citing insufficient stocks. This situation has led to a "black market" among police officers to avoid appearing in front of citizens in inappropriate attire. Union members believe that an institution that cannot properly equip its own employees cannot speak of modernization or respect for the profession.
