A police officer from Timișoara was injured during the intervention to save a man who was trying to commit suicide. The agent will undergo surgery on his forearm.

On October 29, around 04:00, the police officers of the 3rd Urban Police Station in Timișoara intervened to a 112 call regarding a domestic conflict. During discussions with a woman in front of the residence, the officers noticed a man inside who intended to hang himself.

Police officer Alexandru broke the window and entered the apartment to save him. During the intervention, a wardrobe collapsed on them, injuring the officer, who suffered a cut wound to his forearm and abrasions. After freeing the man, the police officer performed resuscitation maneuvers, stabilizing him until the ambulances arrived. The officer was transported to the hospital, being conscious and stable, and will undergo surgery.
