PNL MP Alina Gorghiu announced that the party's Executive Bureau has approved the support for the establishment of the special Commission "Romania without violence" in Parliament, given that in the first six months of 2025 more than 61,000 cases of domestic violence were reported. The commission will analyze legislation on the prevention of domestic violence and work with institutions, NGOs and victims. Gorghiu stresses that the protection of women is a state obligation and that domestic violence must be treated as a national priority.
