Valeriu Iftime, the interim president of PNL Botoșani, stated that PNL has no other solution for the future government than a coalition with PSD, emphasizing that his party must remain in power. Iftime mentioned that, having only 14% in Parliament, PNL needs to collaborate with other parties, including PSD, to avoid a compromise with AUR.

He appreciated the current government led by Ilie Bolojan, but acknowledged that the withdrawal from government needs to be discussed. The motion of censure submitted by PSD, AUR, and PACE will be read in the joint plenary of Parliament, and the vote will take place on May 5. PSD claims that the motion targets the dismissal of Prime Minister Bolojan, accusing him of being unable to collaborate and implement reforms, which has led to recession and a decrease in purchasing power. Social democrats believe that the dismissal of the Prime Minister will pave the way for a functional government.
