In April 2025, Romania registered 4,686,479 pensioners, an increase of 21,837 from the previous month. The average pension was RON 2,759 and the total value of pension entitlements amounted to RON 12,931 billion. Of these, 560,901 pensioners had periods worked in agriculture, with an average pension of 674 lei. The largest number of pensioners, 3,756,914, were over the age limit, with an average pension of 3,080 lei. Early, partial and disability pensions were also granted, with varying average values.
