According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, in the third quarter of 2025, the average number of pensioners was 4.921 million, an increase of 3,000 compared to the second quarter of 2025. The average monthly pension reached 2,941 lei, recording an increase of 0.3%. Compared to the third quarter of 2024, the total number of pensioners decreased by 44,000, but average pensions increased by 13.9%.
