At the County Hospital in Ploiești, a man with a fractured collarbone fell from a defective stretcher during transport. The incident occurred during the externalization when a wheel of the stretcher broke. Although the patient did not suffer serious injuries, hospital representatives confirmed that the stretcher was known to be defective and marked to be avoided, but the paramedic ignored this sign.

This is the second incident of this type in the last three weeks, after an 85-year-old patient fell from a stretcher, suffering severe injuries and being in a coma since then. Both cases are being investigated by the hospital management, and the case of the elderly man is also under police attention.
