The city of Arad has invested approximately 2.9 million lei in the installation of 600 parking sensors, which should help drivers identify available spots through a mobile application. Although the project was completed in 2025, the sensors have not been activated due to pavement replacement works on Bulevardul Revoluției.

Representatives of the institution explained that the sensors are connected in series and cannot be activated on segments of the road. The project, funded through PNRR, is eagerly awaited by drivers who face difficulties in finding parking spaces in the central area of the city. The application will allow users to find available spots based on the GPS position of the vehicle, thus reducing the time spent searching for parking.
