The Capital Police announced that the suspect in the theft from Pantelimon Hospital has been caught. The man, aged 65, is accused of stealing a valve and a faucet from the oxygen system, causing a malfunction that forced the medical staff to manually oxygenate the patients.
He was detected by the police officers of Section 9 on a street in Sector 2 and was taken in for questioning. The stolen goods have been recovered and handed over to a collection center. The police continue the investigations under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sector 2 Court for aggravated theft. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, and the ISU intervention ensured the necessary oxygen supply until the situation was remedied, without requiring the evacuation of the patients.
