The High Court of Cassation and Justice has admitted Ovidiu Jidveian, convicted of fraud and embezzlement after he misled 244 people by selling fictitious apartments. Jidveian obtained over €12 million from these transactions, using the money in financial speculation and gambling. Victims are obliged to bring civil actions to recover damages, and the possibility of recovering part of the damages exists through the valuation of the real estate built.
