In the last three days, firefighters across the country have extinguished over 500 fires, according to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU).
Almost three-quarters of these fires were caused by uncontrolled burns, consuming over 2,300 hectares of land. IGSU emphasizes that burning dry vegetation is prohibited and that non-compliance with these regulations will result in severe penalties. Individuals who violate the law may face fines between 7,500 lei and 15,000 lei, while legal entities risk fines ranging from 50,000 lei to 100,000 lei.
Authorities are calling for compliance with the regulations to prevent such incidents and protect the environment.
