On November 4, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, together with the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, coordinated Operation JUPITER 4, carrying out 211 house searches in several counties across the country. The actions target 68 individuals suspected of various crimes, including tax evasion, embezzlement, smuggling, and forestry crimes, with a total estimated damage of 16,011,512.04 lei, 250,000 euros, and 283,000 dollars.

Prosecutors emphasize the importance of combating forestry crimes, which severely affect the environment and biodiversity. The operation aims to document criminal activities, recover damages, and seize illegally obtained assets. Detected individuals will be brought in for hearings to take appropriate legal measures. This action is part of national efforts to strengthen the law and dismantle criminal networks.
