Wednesday, November 19, the Romanian Police and DIICOT initiated a large-scale operation called "Day Z", conducting 216 searches across the country. The action aims to dismantle organized criminal groups involved in human trafficking and minors, child pornography, drug trafficking, and cybercrime. With the support of the Border Police and the Romanian Gendarmerie, the goal is to execute 250 arrest warrants to bring the wanted individuals in for questioning. This initiative, started in 2018, reflects the authorities' strong commitment to preventing and combating serious forms of crime. The searches aim to gather evidence and identify assets that can be confiscated or intended for the recovery of damages.
