Anamaria Gavrilă, the leader of the Party of Young People (POT), criticized AUR on Facebook, accusing it of not voting for the Veștea Government, proposed by Nicușor Dan, which led to the extension of Ilie Bolojan's interim. AUR left the room before the vote, demanding clarifications from Nicușor Dan and including the party's requests in the government program.

This situation marks a rift between POT and AUR, which, in the past, considered themselves part of the same sovereignist movement. Gavrilă announced that POT dissociates itself from AUR's behavior, preferring a pro-Western government. George Simion, the leader of AUR, threatened to suspend Nicușor Dan, but to initiate the procedure, support from other parties is necessary. POT has lost the majority of its parliamentarians, now having only three elected members, while AUR is facing internal tensions. This situation reflects the growing division of sovereignist formations in Romania.
