The former head of the Environmental Guard, Octavian Berceanu, provided details about his involvement in a DNA case, in which he is mentioned as a witness. He explained that, in September, he was invited to a meeting under the pretext of consulting on an environmental project, but the discussion degenerated into a proposal to participate in a business scheme in the arms industry. Berceanu emphasized that he did not know the person who contacted him and that he acted according to the law, informing the authorities about the meeting. The DNA announced the detention of a person who tried to offer one million euros to the Minister of Defense to influence the conclusion of contracts with Romtehnica. Minister Ionuț Mosteanu confirmed that he is a witness in this case and that he supports the authorities in clarifying the situation.
