In the third quarter of 2025, the employment rate of the population of working age (15-64 years) was 63.4%, registering an increase of 0.1% compared to the previous quarter. Men had a higher employment rate of 71.7%, compared to 54.9% for women. Additionally, people in urban areas had an employment rate of 70.2%, compared to 56.1% in rural areas. The youth employment rate (15-24 years) was 17.9%. Regarding unemployment, it remained constant at 6%, with 6.1% for men and 5.8% for women. The unemployment rate was significantly higher in rural areas (9.9%) compared to urban areas (2.8%). Young people recorded the highest unemployment rate of 27.3%.
