The woman who assaulted Senator POT Valentina Aldea with a crowbar has been sent to trial.

Oana Ungureanu, 44 years old, has been sent to trial by the General Prosecutor's Office for assault and destruction, after she assaulted Senator POT Valentina Aldea on November 20, 2025. The incident took place in the parking lot of a residential complex in Bucharest, where Oana Ungureanu waited for the senator and hit her with a fist and a wrench, causing her traumatic injuries.

Additionally, she scratched the senator's car and destroyed various components of it. Valentina Aldea stated that she has no connection with Oana Ungureanu and denied the allegations of involvement in her personal life. Oana Ungureanu claimed that the entire situation was generated by her husband's extramarital affair with the senator, stating that it was an ongoing fight between them. The case has been sent to the Court of Sector 6, and Ungureanu is under judicial control.
