The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, had a meeting with H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, to discuss the security situation in Oman and the region, emphasizing the importance of constant coordination and communication.

In the context of recent hostilities, Ţoiu reaffirmed Romania's commitment to closely collaborate with partners in the Middle East. Additionally, issues concerning Romanian tourists stranded in Muscat and Salalah due to air traffic disruptions were addressed, as well as the need to facilitate commercial flights from Oman to Romania and Europe.

Ţoiu thanked Omani officials for their diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the security situation, ensuring that Romanian citizens will be able to travel safely back home.
