The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, announced that she had a discussion with NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, during the Munich Security Conference. The two officials discussed the upcoming B9 Summit, which will take place in Bucharest, and emphasized the Alliance's commitment to strengthening deterrence and defense posture on the Eastern Flank, where Romania plays an essential role.
The Romanian delegation at the conference also includes the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruţă, and the Director General of the Cybersecurity Directorate, Dan Cîmpean. Oana Ţoiu will present Romania's assessments regarding current challenges, highlighting the importance of the Black Sea and the need for lasting peace in Ukraine, as well as the risks of hybrid actions by the Russian Federation.
