Oana Țoiu has asked Tulcea City Hall to remove the Russian flag hoisted near the Art Museum, stressing that it is unacceptable for the authorities to support symbols of a country waging a brutal war against a sovereign neighbor. Under the law, the conditions for flying the flags of other states in this case are not met. The reaction was triggered by a Google Maps screenshot showing Russia's flag alongside those of the European Union, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece and Romania.
