Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu stated that she requested the Ministry of Transport to provide her with the entire selection procedure of the Board of Administration of the Port of Constanța, after receiving reports regarding irregularities in this process.
The ministry's response was that the information could not be communicated due to GDPR regulations. Gheorghiu emphasized that this response is a lack of collegiality and inter-institutional respect, considering that the requested information was necessary for the deputy prime minister's office, which acts in the interest of the prime minister. She stated that she will obtain this information through legal means, mentioning that she has already sent a response formulated by her lawyers. The deputy prime minister added that she has faced similar issues in her relationship with companies in the energy sector.
