Nicușor Dan said that the appointment of the directors of the SRI and SIE will take place in the coming weeks, after discussions with political parties. He emphasized that he does not want to propose candidates who could be rejected by the Parliament. The post of SRI director has been vacant since the summer of 2023, and the current SIE director, Gabriel Vlase, has been publicly challenged for a controversial move. Dan said he already has a few names in mind and will continue analyzing them.
