President Nicușor Dan organized a press conference on Wednesday evening in which he addressed the information that appeared in the public space regarding the selection process of the heads of the Prosecutor's Offices. He stated that many of these pieces of information are false or issued in bad faith, emphasizing that the proposals for the leadership of the prosecutor's offices are not from the PSD.

Dan explained that he made decisions based on dozens of discussions with prosecutors, not on external influences. He also rejected the idea that former heads of the prosecutor's offices would continue to lead from deputy positions and stated that the system or services did not influence the appointments. Nicușor Dan emphasized that any prosecutor who meets the conditions can participate in the competitions, mentioning that discussions about the quality of candidates should be open. He reaffirmed that he was well-prepared for this process and that he acted in good faith in making decisions.
