President Nicușor Dan will be present in Brussels from Wednesday to Friday to participate in the EU-Western Balkans Summit and the European Council, according to the Presidential Administration. The summit, chaired by Antonio Costa, will emphasize the strategic relationship between the EU and the Western Balkans, highlighting its benefits for citizens and the EU's commitment to the accession perspective of the countries in the region.
In the coming days, EU leaders will discuss Ukraine, the expansion of the Union, and the geoeconomic situation, including Ukraine's urgent financial needs for 2026 and 2027. The military support provided to Ukraine, which has totaled 66 billion euros, will also be assessed, and progress within the EU's multiannual financial framework will be analyzed.
