Both countries, exposed to threats generated by Russia's war against Ukraine, agreed to collaborate more closely within defense projects against drones, both in the EU and in NATO. Additionally, the two leaders discussed the strategic importance of the EU enlargement process. Nicușor Dan reaffirmed Romania's commitment to strengthening its military capabilities to ensure robust defense on the eastern flank.
