Nicușor Dan explained that there are four major lawsuits related to Cathedral Plaza, two of which have been finalized. If the court decision is in favor of the city hall, the building will be demolished immediately. The mayor considers the building "the emblem of real estate corruption in Bucharest" and says its demolition would be "a sign of the health of democracy".
