At the Neagu Gala, Romanian President Nicușor Dan presented plans for the development of sport in the country, emphasizing the importance of grassroots sport and the identification of young talents. He mentioned three sports personalities, namely Mrs. Potec and Mrs. Lecușanu, as well as Mihai Covaliu, as essential in the elaboration of a 10-year long-term strategy. Dan highlighted the need to create an organized framework with clear budgets and objectives to encourage youth participation in sport.
