President Nicușor Dan stated that he does not consider the resignation of the prime minister to be a necessary solution following the decision of the Constitutional Court (CCR) to reject the reform of judges' pensions. He explained that law is a respectable science, but legal interpretations can vary, and the government might have considered that the law can be applied without an opinion.

Dan mentioned that, although the law provides for the necessity of an opinion, it does not specify the timeframe in which it must be obtained, which generates confusion. He emphasized that judges strictly rely on the Constitution, and the essential question remains related to the reasonable time to wait for an opinion that does not arrive.
