Member of the European Parliament Nicu Ștefănuță, Vice President of the European Parliament, stated that the political scene in Romania is facing a profound crisis of representation, accusing the parties of 'talking about percentages, not about people'.

In a message published on Facebook, he emphasized that the current political class no longer reflects the interests of citizens, but acts in its own interest. Ștefănuță mentioned that, following the political crisis in Romania, the electoral legitimacy of the parties is obtained through questionable methods, being protected by electoral thresholds and considerable financial resources.

He highlighted the necessity for a radical change in the political system, stating that Romania needs to be 'razed' in order to be improved, not just through piecemeal reforms. This position comes in a context where the country is facing major political challenges, and his call to action reflects a growing discontent among citizens.
