Negotiations to form the new government are nearing completion, with Ilie Bolojan (PNL) appointed prime minister. PNL will get four key ministries, including Finance and Interior, while USR will get three strategic portfolios and UDMR will have two ministries. PSD will control the most ministries, seven in total, and will take over as premier in spring 2027. Final consultations will take place on Wednesday and the new government could be sworn in by Monday. President Nicușor Dan confirmed an agreement in principle on most of the measures discussed.
