The National Assessment for eighth-grade graduates will begin on Monday, June 22, 2026, with the Romanian Language and Literature test. The Ministry of Education has announced that over 148,000 students have registered for this exam, under conditions where approximately 9% of the generation are not among the candidates. Students must arrive in the classrooms by 8:30 AM, having a valid identity document and writing instruments with ink or blue ink.
The tests will start at 9:00 AM, and the working time for each test is 120 minutes. In the Romanian language test, students can correct mistakes by crossing them out and completing the correct answer. The use of auxiliary materials or mobile phones is prohibited during the exam. Initial results will be posted on July 1, and appeals can be submitted on July 1, 2, and 3, with final results announced on July 8.
