His husband, Claudio Gama, described the death as a shock for family and friends. Geary had a successful career in soap operas, debuting in 'The Young and the Restless' and having a constant presence in 'General Hospital' for nearly 40 years. Throughout his career, he won eight Emmy Awards for Best Lead Actor, setting a record.
