During a patrol mission in Tismana, the mountain gendarmes were alerted by a local resident about a wild cat attacking the birds in his yard. Collaborating with a gamekeeper, the gendarmes managed to capture the animal safely. After the arrival of a veterinarian, it was found that the cat had no injuries, and the gendarmes decided to release it immediately into its natural habitat.

Authorities recommend that citizens do not approach wild animals and report to the competent authorities in such situations. Previously, another wild animal, a lynx, was caught in the yard of a local resident in Runcu and, after treatment, was released and monitored with a GPS device.
