A Moroccan citizen has been declared undesirable in Romania for a period of 10 years.

The Bucharest Court of Appeal decided on Wednesday that H.E.M., a Moroccan citizen who relocated to Romania in 2023, should be declared an undesirable person for a period of 10 years.

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) announced that H.E.M. came to its attention at the end of 2025 due to his activities that pose risks to national security, according to anti-terrorism legislation. SRI emphasized that he is in an advanced stage of radicalization, being a supporter of terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

Additionally, H.E.M. promotes terrorist ideology and acts as a radicalization factor for other individuals in Romania. This decision underscores the measures taken by authorities to prevent terrorist activities on national territory.
