Following the activation of the red hydrological code on the rivers in Oltenia and Muntenia, the teams of the Romanian Waters are on maximum alert. Significant precipitation is expected, which could generate rapid floods, especially in small watercourses. Although the alert levels are not exceeded, continuous monitoring of the hydrometeorological situation is essential. The general director of the Romanian Waters, Florin Ghiță, assured that the teams are mobilized 24/7 to protect communities exposed to risks.
