Starting September 23, cell phones will be banned in Romanian schools. The decision was announced by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education.

The ban on the use of cell phones in schools will apply from the time students enter school until they leave home. The only exception is when teachers allow the use of phones for educational purposes. The new regulation provides for the confiscation of mobile phones in case of violations.
