The Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP) announced the completion of an investigation that examined the management of the contract for vehicle access on the forest road in Băneasa Forest. The investigation revealed that an additional section of approximately 0.72 km was built illegally, without the necessary documentation, such as the technical project and legal approvals. It was also found that maintenance work was carried out for this illegal segment. Checks confirmed the existence of access barriers and the use of the road by vehicles, despite its private utility regime. The report proposes correcting the forestry arrangement, restoring the land to its original state, and notifying the courts to annul the toll contract.
