Speaking on Antena 3 CNN, Minister Moșteanu explained that the shooting down of Russian drones depends on the assessment of the danger, taking into account the possible risks to localities. He emphasized the existence of a clear chain of command between the Romanian army and NATO partners, which allows a gradual intervention. Romania has a legal framework to shoot down drones and the armed forces are on constant alert. Moșteanu assured that Romania benefits from NATO's protection and that its soldiers are well trained, so the population can rest assured.
