In the Info EDU program on TVR Info, Mihai Dimian, the Minister of Education, presented a concrete approach to improving the working conditions of teachers. He emphasized the need for a detailed analysis of the comprehensive job description, which should include all activities carried out by teachers, to support any decision regarding the teaching norm.

Dimian proposed that teachers who exceed 40 hours worked per week should be rewarded additionally, considering the unquantified workload, especially in the case of grading the papers from the national exam simulations. Currently, teachers do not receive additional payments for these activities.

The Minister mentioned that the analysis will take into account the entire activity of teaching staff throughout the school year, including work done at home. In the context of recent protests by teachers, Dimian emphasized the importance of this analysis before making decisions regarding the reduction of teaching norms.
