During the event 'Romania in Light', the Minister of Education, Mihai Dimian, highlighted the necessity of involving students in extracurricular activities to prevent addictions. He emphasized that only 15% of a student's time is spent at school, and parents need to be active in supporting their children. Dimian announced the launch of the Practical Intervention Guide for Addiction Prevention in Families, aimed at parents, which will provide support in managing addiction-related issues.
The minister emphasized that it is essential for teachers to be prepared to address these challenges and mentioned that there are educational modules that can be integrated into the curriculum to address addiction prevention. He also highlighted the importance of sports, artistic, and volunteer activities outside of school hours, mentioning that the Ministry of Education is working on initiatives to support sports in schools.
